Cutting to length and making a connection:
Step 1
The beginning of the BOAGAZ® corrugated pipe wound on the spool must always be cut off cleanly before use. Determine the correct pipe length. Using the pipe cutter, cut the BOAGAZ® corrugated pipe to length through the outer sheath and stainless steel. The cut must be made in the trough of the corrugation. Turn the pipe cutter in one direction and slowly tighten the pressure roller after each turn.
Caution: Tightening too much will result in irregular cuts and deformations.
Step 2
- Remove the PE sheathing with the wire stripper so that 4 shafts remain exposed to allow the connections to be mounted.
Step 3
Slide the nut over the corrugated tube and position the two half-rings so that one wave remains free at the end of the tube.
Step 4
Slide the nut over the half-rings and tighten it with a wrench until it stops. After a pressure test, protect the corrugated pipe at the joint from corrosion with protective tape or heat shrink tubing.
Austria only: Fittings installed under plaster must be completely protected against corrosion (using tape/heat shrink tubing).
