Air in solar fluids
Unlike water, glycol-containing liquids have a significantly higher viscosity. Depending on the liquid's concentration, air bubbles can take several hours to rise. Air bubbles trapped in the liquid therefore remain in the flow and circulate throughout the entire system.
The result: problems with circulation, heat transfer, and corrosion.
The fixed resistances in the spiral tube force the air bubbles to rise. Installation does not need to be at the highest point, but directly at the solar supply line.
Temperature: max. 180°C
Operating pressure: max. 10 bar
Housing: Brass
“AutoClose”
This design also features air/vapor detection and closes automatically when the evaporation temperature is reached. This makes it possible to keep solar thermal systems permanently and effectively free of air.
Advantages:
• No steam leakage at the valve thanks to patented AutoClose function
• No fluid loss
• No premature decomposition of the solar fluid
• Always an air-free system with optimal performance
