- The coding for charging cables is simulated via a rotary selector switch:
- No cable: ∞ Ω
- 13 A cable: 1500 Ω
- 20 A cable: 680 Ω
- 32 A cable: 220 Ω
- 64 A cable: 100 Ω
- Input voltage:
- 1-phase: up to 250 V, 50 Hz 60 Hz
- 3-phase: up to 430 V, 50 Hz 60 Hz
- Maximum test current: 40 A (10 ms) periodic operation
- BNC connector, resistor:
- BNC housing > PE: 100 kΩ
- BNC contact > PE: 100 kΩ
- Phase voltage display via LEDs
- Testing of EV charging stations even with a permanently connected charging cable
- Test socket and 4 mm jacks for easy connection to an installation test device
- Separate phase indicator via three LEDs for easy voltage check
- Proximity Pilot (PP) checks the coding of the charging cables for charging current limiting.
- Control Pilot (CP) simulates vehicle status A, B, C, D and E (short circuit between CPPE)
- BNC connector for CP signal output for verification with an oscilloscope
- EVSE locking system check from status B (charging cable release is blocked)
Application:
- The BENNING EV 32 measuring adapter enables safety and functional tests to be carried out on certain charging stations for electric vehicles in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-600 (IEC 60364-6) and DIN VDE 0105-100 (EN 50110) using the BENNING IT200 installation test device.
- The BENNING EV 32 is designed for testing charging stations in accordance with DIN EN / IEC 61851-1 (VDE 0122-1) of the charging mode “Mode 3” and has a Type 2 connector in accordance with IEC / EN 62196
- The BENNING EV 32 establishes a secure contact with the BENNING installation test device and triggers the charging process of the charging station by simulating an electric vehicle.
