• The ATHs series consists of two separate measuring and switching systems with the functions of temperature controller TR and safety temperature monitor STW.
• They operate on the principle of fluid expansion; a microswitch serves as the electrical switching element.

Self-monitoring of the safety temperature monitor STW

• If the measuring system is destroyed, i.e., if the expansion fluid escapes, the pressure in the diaphragm of the STW drops and permanently opens the circuit.
• Unlocking is no longer possible.
• When the sensor cools down to a temperature below approximately 20°C, the circuit is also opened; when the temperature rises above approximately 20°C, the STW automatically switches the circuit back on.
