The ego is a heat recovery unit primarily designed for functional spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens. Paired operation is not necessary, as the ego independently manages supply and exhaust air with heat recovery. During peak loads, such as in the evenings, it also features an exhaust air mode to quickly remove odors and moisture. Inside the ego, two fans always operate in opposite directions, simultaneously supplying and exhausting air. The storage element is positioned in the center of the airflow from the two EC motors. The reversing airflow, created by the targeted change in fan direction, charges the ceramic element with the heat energy from the room air and releases it to the incoming outside air.
